Representing Toms Shoes
Maybe I'm destined for philanthropy. For my first birthday, we requested new toys in lieu of gifts, and all of them were donated to MEND. In the spirit of helping children, Ninang (Godmother) Maite, donated a gift in my honor to Heifer International. It seems fit that my first gig is for Toms' One For One Movement, where for every pair of shoes or sunglasses purchased a child in need is given a pair of shoes or the gift of vision through prescription lenses.
When we circulated the link to family, Ninang Maite's comment was the best:
"It reminds me of a Friends episode where Joey gets a tv gig but you only see like the back of his head. LOL!"
